Small Faith Communities
Our long-range goal is to strengthen interconnectivity between small faith communities to support bonding and sharing of experiences, while providing sparks for the development of additional groups. We are building a team to identify established groups and contacts by geographical region.

 

Connecting with the group coordinators, we want to begin a dialogue about their group's various experiences, the faith-development resources available to them, and the spark s that have facilitated growth.

 

Over the next few months, we hope to begin developing and publishing a list of resources to offer potential community coordinators. We have beginning resources and points of contact. Your support will take this to a new level.

 

We need information from already existing small faith communities:
location, coordinators, and how to connect with a group in your area by e-mail and/or phone. For more information please contact me directly:

  • Name: Small Faith Community of Vista, CA
  • Membership: About 50, representing a wide variety of ages and backgrounds.
  • Location: Vista is 35 miles from San Diego. Community members are parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Organization: Very informal. Members regard liturgy in its literal sense as "a common work" and take turns handling the details. The group sponsors an orphanage in Sri Lanka, and most members are active at St. Francis in the soup kitchen, the Cursillo, RCIA counseling.
