HAMROCK, John M. Of Houston, TX , formerly of Dorchester and Chicago, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife Bette (Levon) Hamrock. Dear brother of Mary Hamrock and Paul Hamrock both of Rockland and Claire Cavanaugh and her husband Michael of Braintree. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the son the late Patrick and Catherine (Powell) Hamrock. Academically, he had graduate degrees from St. John's Seminary, Boston College and Harvard University in Theology, Counseling, Psychology, and Management. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday August 15, 2011 in Holy Family Church, Rockland at 11:00 AM. Private Committal services will take place in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree at a later time.
