A Mass for Timothy F. Hourihan, 78, of Blairstown, NJ will be at 5 oclock tomorrow evening, July 6, 2006, in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona, NJ. Arrangements are by the Prout Funeral Home in Verona.

Mr. Hourihan died Monday, July 3, 2006, in the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.

A former Roman Catholic priest, he was parochial vicar at St. Aloysius Church in Jersey City from 1954 until 1977, when he became pastor at Our Lady of the Lake Church. He served there until 1994.

A 1948 graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, Mr. Hourihan studied at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Darlington and was ordained a priest in 1954 in Sacred heart Cathedral, Newark.

Mr. Hourihan served on the board of directors of Goodwill Industries in North Arlington for 25 years, and on the boards of ridge and Valley Conservancy in Blairstown and Father Johns Foundation.

Born in West Orange, he lived in Jersey City and Verona before moving to Blairstown in 1994.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a stepson, Dylan Harris; a brother, Monsignor John P. Hourihan; a sister, Kathleen Hourihan, and two grandchildren.
