Umberto Palaoro Lenzi, 68, was born to the late Giuseppe and Anna Lenzi in the province of Roncegno, which is located in the northern city of Trento, Italy, September 2, 1939. Umberto graduated from St. Joseph Seminary, Rome. He earned a Degree in Philosophy & Theology, from Lateral University, Rome, in 1968 and later obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, in Munich, Germany, 1973. Umberto was ordained and served as a Roman Catholic Priest Italy from 1967 to 1972 and later as a missionary in the Philippines for 2 years. His assignment to the Philippines would open him to the beauty of its people and his call to marriage with his lovely Susan de la Victoria in 1972.

After a stay in Germany, he brought his new family to the U.S. and eventually settled in Seattle and their home in Mill Creek. Umberto was a Software Developer until he retired in 2007 and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of all around him. He pioneered through the Stenography Industry as the creator of TeLiTor™ software, a first of its kind.
 
His recreational projects involved the love for music and collaborated with friends and Church in  arrangement and composition. Umberto was an active member of St. Brendan Parish, and was also very involved in the lo cal community of 140 resigned priests. He was a proud member of CITI as a Catholic Married Priest making great efforts to promote married priesthood nationally and internationally, especially in his native Italy. He loved to travel and organized trips to Europe with his wife and parish over the years.

Umberto is survived by his spouse Susan Lenzi and five sons: Umberto Giuseppe Jr., Michael Angelo, Francis Anthony, Christopher Noel, Giancarlo.
