lynchpLYNCH, Paul J. of Arlington, MA. Passed away suddenly at home of natural causes on November 5, 2011. He was 71 years old. Raised in Dorchester, MA. Paul was educated at Cathedral High School, St. John’s Seminary, Northeastern, and Boston University. After 15 years as a Boston priest, Paul worked as an educator and school psychologist in Winchester Public Schools for over 25 years and served on the board of Winchester’s Multicultural Network. Beloved by all who knew him, Paul dedicated his life to service and social justice and was known for his big laugh and big heart.

His selflessness and uncritical love for all people was an inspiration to those around him and his legacy will live on in his loving family. Devoted husband to Jane (Cuddy). Father of David Paul Lynch of New York City. Stepfather of James Kenny of Scottsdale, AZ, Kate Kenny Townsend of Basking Ridge, NJ, Meg Kenny of Manchester Center, VT, and Elizabeth Kenny of Seattle, WA. Devoted son of Enes (Grelotti) Lynch and the late Gordon Lynch. Brother of Geraldine McCarthy of Braintree, Maureen Sylvia of Fairhaven, and the late Marie O’Brien and Kathleen Traficanti. Grandfather of Meredith and Jillian Kenny, Gregory, Isabel, and Nora Townsend, and Jackson and Will Ameden. Also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Thursday at 9 am. Funeral Service at the First Parish Unitarian Church, Mass Ave., Arlington at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Burial in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery in Centerville on Thursday at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pine Street Inn, 441 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA.0211
