JAMES FRANCIS CLARKE(1934 - 2015)
Clarke, James Francis Died on Tuesday October 27, (10/10/1934-10/27/2015), after 81 years of making the world a kinder and more generous place. From his early life in Ireland as a priest, to his later career in social work focusing on bereavement, Jim's life's work was to bring comfort and solace to those who were suffering. He also charmed the pants off everyone he met, and was the life of any party that was smart enough to invite him. Jim was a top notch teacher, counselor, and friend. But his greatest accomplishments were as a husband to Bonnie and father to Sean, Brendan, and Colum, and later to his daughter-in-law Katie and grandchildren Riley and Colum, Jr who never spent a second of their lives feeling unloved.

Jim – or Seamus as he was known in Ireland – is also survived by his brother Tommy and his beloved nieces and nephews in Ireland who adored him and are saddened they cannot make the journey to America to celebrate him. Jim Clarke lived an incredibly cool life. He had adventures, filled the world with love, and enjoyed every minute of it. If you have half the fun he did in your life, consider yourself lucky. We were all lucky to have him for the time we did. He was a great man and a good man. Wake at Tinker's Son in Norwell on Sunday from 3-5 pm. Come for condolences, drinks, food, laughs and tears. All are welcome. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water St, ROCKLAND, on Monday from 8-9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover at 10 AM.
