REST IN PEACE

George A. Lesinski, 80, died after a lengthy battle with cancer. George is survived by his beloved wife, Petra, children, Rachel and Jaime and grand-children Rebecca, Joshua, Jacob and William. A WWII veteran, George was a laicized priest, social worker, teacher, counselor and devoted servant of God. A memorial service celebrating Georges life will be held at St. Simon & Jude Church, on Thursday, May 5th at 10:00. His family requests that donations be made to Hoag Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.

George, after serving in the Navy, he entered the seminary in hometown Detroit and was ordained a priest in 1954. George worked in pastoral ministy until he married Petra in 1968. Together they raised two children. They moved to California where George was a social worker and also taught ESL. His ever-present, wide-open smile reflected a humble optimism that characterized all his relationships and pride in his priesthood. Sixteen brother married priests celebrated his life at his funeral.

George joined CORPUS in 1975 and attended many of the National Conferences.
