Towner, Charles Byrns

REST IN PEACECharles Towner 1565177841

Father Charles Byrns Towner, beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend to all, received his Eternal Life on the morning of August 2, 2019. After a blessed 94 years spent serving his Lord, his family, and many others, he returned home to God our Father and his cherished Eula Faye. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final days and passed away peacefully with his daughter at his side having complete faith of the comfort and peace that awaited him.
Born April 28, 1925 at Hamilton County Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by his son Cameron Towner, four daughters, Shannon Pontigon, Tonya Towner, Elly (Towner) Stamm, Jeani Towner, ten beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandson. Ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in 1950, he served his community in countless ways for 25 years and thereafter as a social worker for the State of Arizona. After successfully raising his children and laying his wife to rest he enjoyed many years of his retirement traveling, and continuing to create memories with the people he loved. Our family is grateful for the loving care and support given by Casa De La Luz Hospice, the compassionate nurses who stayed by our side, and the outpouring of love and support from so many friends and family.
"Love one another as I have loved you..." In his memory give your support, love and kindness to someone who needs it most.
The Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of his sweetheart Eula Faye.
