SHOREZ, Ralph Y. -- Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died June 24, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer and Fr. Dennis Howard con-celebrants. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Sunday, 1-5 and 7-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. A Scripture service and Knights of Columbus service will be held 7 PM Monday. Mr. Shorez was born October 10, 1929 in Iraq the son of Talko and Salhi (Paulos) Shorez. He had resided in the Genesee County area most of his life. He earned his Masters Degree from Michigan State University. He was employed by the State of Michigan for 13 years as a social worker retiring in 1989. Mr. Shorez was a member of the St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are: four sons, Jacob of Swartz Creek, David of Clio, Christian of Mt. Morris, John of Holcomb, MO; four grandchildren; and brother, John of San Diego, CA. Ralph was ordained in 1960 for Iraq Rosul from the Gregorian University University, Rome, Italy and made his transition 1975.
