SWANSON, JAMES E. of Walpole formerly of Norwood passed away on June 4, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Marie Q. (Quartarone) Swanson. Devoted father of Alaina M. Manning and her husband Thomas of Walpole. Brother of Tom Swanson of RI, Bill Swanson of RI, Bob Swanson of Swampscott and the late Don Swanson and Mary Gousie. Cherished grandfather of James and Charlotte Manning. Son of the late William C. and Margaret (Gill) Swanson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. James was a former member of the Dedham Retired Men’s Club and the Dedham Bowling League. He was also a member of the Boston Teacher’s Union and a former Catholic Priest in RI. Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at the Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 4-8pm. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
