John (Father D) passed away in Oaxaca, Mexico, on July 22nd, 2006.

Born: Jan. 19, 1918, in San Francisco
Ordained: St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco in 1943
Married: June 1976 (John continued to celebrate Mass on Sunday mornings to the Angelo Roncalli Community, which met at University Lutheran Church at Stanford.)
Died: July 22, 2006, in Oaxaca, Mexico
Survived by: His wife of nearly 30 years, Eve De Bona of Oaxaca; daughters Leslie Gore of Alameda and Ariel Gore of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
There was a memorial service on September 3rd, 2006.
There will be a memorial service at the Thomas Merton Center at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Palo Alto. September 17 at 8:45AM. All are welcome.
