REST IN PEACE
Dennis M. Boudreau, 71, of North Providence, passed away on July 8, 2021 at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Born in Providence on May 2, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph Roland Boudreau and Anne Marie (Gaudet) Boudreau, and was a lifelong resident of North Providence.
From a very early age, Dennis became an avid stamp and coin collector, but later in late, his real passion was genealogy, and he became professionally published author on genealogy of Canadian Marriages of the Madeleine Islands. He was also a past President of the American-French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket. Most days, you could find him at his computer updating his genealogical records, as he was constantly receiving and searching for new information. Dennis was also a former Roman Catholic priest. He was a kind, loving, and generous person and will be missed dearly by his family and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by one brother, Leonard Boudreau and his wife Jill of Clearwater, FL, and three sisters, MaryLou Ferriera and her partner Louis Bigos, Jr. of North Providence, Jeanne Capaldo and her husband Richard of Cranston, and Anne Solitro and her husband Robert of Manchester, NH, a nephew, Jeremy Gambardella and wife Melanie of North Providence, a niece, Jennifer Gambardella and her fiancé Raymond Votolato of Lincoln, and also great-nieces, Jillian and Larissa Gambardella and great-nephew, James Gambardella, and many cousins and friends.
At Dennis' request, there will be no visiting hours and his burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville.
