REST IN PEACE

1 1It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christopher Diamond of Cowichan Bay, British Columbia, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Christopher Diamond.

Chris was ordained a priest for the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.  After transitioning from the priesthood and marrying Naomi, he served for many years as  editor for CORPUS CANADA JOURNAL.

Phil Little"s Remembrance

Thursday past the family and friends gathered at the Royal Oak Cemetery near Victoria.  On the way down over the Malahat it was cloudy with a bit of rain. Arriving at the cemetery the sky opened with sunshine to greet the group gathering for the internment of Chris’ ashes.

The ceremony was conducted by Christie, with her sisters Ruth and Lisa taking different parts.  Christie was assisted by Chris’ good friend, Anglican priest Gregg Shoop.  The beautiful wood urn was lowered by Chris’ only grandson Ammon after all the grandchildren had a small part in the ceremony.

In attendance were some of the Island Corpus group, Art and Allana Menu, Francois Brassard, Michael Zarb, and Phil and Anne Marie.1 2
