REST IN PEACE

Jeremiah (Jerry) Kevin Feehan, 85, died peacefully at home on November 26, 2022. He was born in the Bronx, raised in the Queens, and educated in Brooklyn. He raised his family in Staten Island and grew his career in Manhattan - Jerry was a true son of NYC. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School (Brooklyn, NY) and received degrees from St. Mary’s Seminary and University (Baltimore, MD) and John Jay College of Criminal Justice (NY, NY). Jerry’s life was dedicated to serving others through his vocation, his work in the criminal justice system and through multiple volunteer activities. He was particularly committed to assisting care givers and those near the end of their life through his work with home hospice care.

Jerry and his wife of 49 years, Andrea (nee Bekus), lived in Staten Island for 28 years and have been residents of Galloway, NJ for 22 years. They greatly enjoyed sharing their retirement by the beach with friends, old and new. Andrea and Jerry also treasured their time living in Boherbue, County Cork, Ireland. Jerry was never without a story or anecdote - many of which came from his voracious appetite for reading. He loved all sports, especially the Yankees and the NY Giants. He took great pride in traveling, attending arts and sporting events and spending time at the shore with his daughters, Tara (Tulsa, OK) and Kristin (Brooklyn, NY). Jerry’s ultimate joy were his grandchildren - Maeve, Aine and Declan, who he referred to as “precious cargo”.

A celebration of life will take place in the new year. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey in Egg Harbor Township. Arrangements entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home.

Jerry joined CORPUS in 1986.  He was ordained for the Brooklyn Diocese in1963 and transitioned 1972 and married Andrea a former Sister of Mercy in 1973.
