REST IN PEACE

Michael Crehan passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. A journey that began in Tansy Village, County Galway, Ireland in 1935, led him to America in 1961 (with $100 in my pocket!) bittersweetly ended with a view from his hospital window of his North Everett neighborhood. After arriving in the U.S., for 13 years he served as a priest for various parishes throughout the Western Washington area, until leaving the priesthood to wed Sheila Morney in 1975, married for 47 years until her death in 2022. He received a Master's in Education from Seattle University and worked for 26 years as a counselor and International Student advisor at Renton Technical College, and filled various roles throughout his career in Teacher's Federations and Vocational Education including a post-retirement teaching position at Everett Community College. He was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (now Hope) parish and passionate supporter of the school. He is preceded in death by his wife Sheila, survived by her daughters Libby and Amy Knudson, his son and daughter-in-law Sean and Trisha Crehan and his grandson Jack. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Our Lady of Hope School in Everett.
