REST IN PEACE
Joseph “Jody” DeBias died on September 6, 2018 at the age of 78. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1965 and served many years in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. After leaving the priesthood, he married Rose Marie Carcione. He earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, he established his own company which specialized in professional employee/team evaluation and organizational development. Jody was an active member of the Board of Directors of Big Brother Big Sisters serving as local President and later as part time Executive Director of the organization. He also served on Board of Kanawha Pastoral Counseling.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his ‘grandsons’ Blake and Brock Yoho, Ro’s son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Laura Yoho, sister-in-law Sheri Clarke, Debbie Kotlas, Kim Schmitt, brothers-in-law Sam(Linda) Carcione and Angelo Spigarelli and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church in South Charleston, WV.
