Jim considered his theological work and contributions in the area of sexual ethics to be his most enduring legacy to the Church. He sought to create a more propitious balance between the challenges of married life and those of rearing a family in today’s culture. His was an attempt to reduce the stress that married couples experience when their vocations to marriage and to parenthood were warring with each other. “Jim was a gentleman in the finest sense of that word, my husband, my best friend, and my partner in all things” says his wife Regina.
