Antonio Sclabassi died Friday, June 30, 2006 at Santa Teresa Hospital , San Jose, CA. He had suffered from a severe stroke about 10 years ago, and died of a heart attack while receiving treatment in the hospital due to related problems. Early on, Antonio pursued religious life as a Franciscan, working at Mary Help of Christians, Oakland, CA. He then married his beloved wife Sharon. Antonio went to law school at Hastings and received his law degree. He worked with undocumented| people, especially Latinos (he spoke fluent Spanish) to help them gain legal status. Besides Sharon, Antonio is also survived by his brother, Bob Sclabassi, and sister, Mary Hilbe,| and many nieces and nephews.
