Lawrence Cross, 86, was a Jesuit for 28 years and ordained a priest in 1951. He studied at Leuven, Belgium, earned a PhD from University of Pennsylvania and taught at the Gregorianum in Rome. After marrying Joanne in 1966 he taught sociology at Wright State University until retiring in 1985. Together they parented two children. Larry was kind, compassionate believer and a low-key activist in church reform and other social issues.
