Vincent V. Mirabito, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born in Fulton, he lived in Endicott and Liverpool before moving to Syracuse. Vincent was a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School, a 1950 graduate of Niagara University and completed studies in 1955 from St. Bernard's Seminary. Vinnie transitioned from the priesthood in 1993. He was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church and a member of the NY State Retired Teachers' Assn. and the Federation of Christian Ministries. Vincent enjoyed traveling and playing golf.
Vincent was predeceased by his wife, Maureen; brothers, Joseph and Angelo; and sisters, Grace Galletta and Catherine Mirabito.
Surviving are his sister, Mary Lanzafame of Liverpool; brother, John of East Syracuse; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Lucy's Church at a later date.
Vincent's wishes were fulfilled with the donation of his body to medical science.

Maureen (Marilyn) Mirabito, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. She was born on November 10, 1936 in Syracuse 
to James and Mary Mara. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1954 and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet where she ministered for 38 years as a teacher, administrator and parish minister in the dioceses of Albany and Syracuse. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the College of St. Rose in Albany and later took courses in theology at Boston College and the Harvard School of Divinity. In 1993, she married Vincent Mirabito. Maureen worked at the Syracuse City School District as an English teacher in the Adult Refugee Assistance Program until her retirement in 2003. She was an active member of St. Lucy's Parish community and also joined her husband as a volunteer with the jail ministry. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and Syracuse basketball.
Maureen was deeply grateful for both callings in her life. First, to a community of women dedicated to the service of others and then to a life of marriage to a very special man, truly the love of her life, Vincent Mirabito.
Maureen is survived by her beloved husband, Vincent; sister, Maureen Mara; brother, James (Linda Frazier) Mara; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maureen has donated her body to Upstate Medical Center for the advancement of medical education and research.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church.
